In other news, it poured for about an hour this afternoon, so I forfeited my plans for the Farmer's Market. I'll be heading over next Friday. It's not really so bad, I'll have time tomake more stuff and be a little bit more organized.
It was my Father-in-Law's 60th birthday on Sept. 6 and I was asked to make a big card that people at church could sign. This is what I came up with. I used a full poster board folded in half, taped a couple pieces of Basic Black card stock together and cut out a hill. I then stamped, colored and cut out his truck and put him on his way down the hill. Well, he loves to go fishing and you will frequently see him towing his boat to the river, so my husband said, "Don't you have any boat stamps?" Well of course I do! I stamped the boat on an imaging sheet and then stamped it from there on to Whisper White Paper, to get the mirror image. He just can't tow a boat that's facing backwards, can he? Then I restamped the truck and cut out only the wheels and fenders to make a trailer for the boat. All that is up on dimensionals, and all the writing is White Embossing Powder. Sorry about the close up, I forgot to turn it on my computer before I uploaded it, and now I can't fix it. Maybe I"ll come back and edit this post later, but I'm in a hurry for
now. In case you can't read it, it says "Happy 60th Birthday Bro. Baker! It's all down hill from here!!
